What voice commands work with your Echo or Nest devices?
You can operate nearly every piece of your New York City smart home with your favorite AI assistant. Monitor the situation with your smart devices, swap to a pre-determined mode, or perform minute tweaks of a setting via easy voice commands. Or command your Nest or Echo device to arrange your security system in the same way as you can in the Vivint mobile app.
Check out a few voice commands you are able to assign to Alexa or Google:
-
“Arm my security system to away.”
-
“Secure the back door.”
-
“Switch off my family room light.”
-
“Did I leave the garage door open?”
-
"Record a clip of my outdoor camera."
-
"Turn down the heat 2 degrees."
-
“Turn off the downstairs light in 30 minutes.”
You can also program in procedures in your Alexa or Google Home mobile app that utilize different devices. For example, try "Google, I'm going out," and trigger your alarms, lower the thermostat, and bolt the doors. Or craft a routine for "movie night" and use the command to dim the lights and move the temperature to how your family likes it.
